Cookies

Cookies are small text files that our website places on your computer. Here's a description of cookies our e-commerce platform, Shopify, uses so you can decide if you want to opt out of them or not: Shopify captures information about which pages on the  website you visited and the contents that you added to your basket, and also counts the number of visits by you and by all our potential customers to the website. A cookie does not give us access to modify your computer. If you opt out of cookies the online purchasing process may not work.

Privacy and data protection

When you purchase items from our website we need to know your name, postal address, email and bank card details, to enable us to process orders that you place with us. When you place an order or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting your personal information to fulfil your request and to create an order history in your account. We archive your order history and personal data as son as we fulfill your order(s). When you browse our website we also automatically receive your computer's IP address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system (see Cookies section for more). Where you have signed up on our website, we will also use your email address to send you occasional promotional emails. You can stop these emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link within the promotional email or by emailing customersupport@nomaswimwear.com with your request. If you contact us (for any reason) we may keep a record of that correspondence. Our store is hosted on the e-commerce platform, Shopify. Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage application on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose to pay by card through our website then Shopify stores your card details in encrypted form (PCI-DSS, which includes SSL technology) and your card data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase and is then deleted. If you choose to pay using PayPal, the security of your card details and personal information is governed by PayPal's privacy and security policies. You may contact us to find out what information we hold about you, and we will provide a response subject to a fee of £10 to cover our costs in doing so. We do not sell your personal information to any third parties. We pass your personal information to courier, delivery or shipping companies (to whom we pass your name, address and email) so that they can deliver your orders on our behalf. We only use reputable delivery companies which take their data protection responsibilities seriously. We may also pass your personal information to third parties if we are required by law to do so or for the purposes of fraud reduction. If you have a complaint with the way that we handle your data, please do contact us, and you may also complain to the Information Commissioners Office (UK) at www.ico.org.uk.
